Combustion Chambers Manufacturing
Special Parts's Combustion Chambers Manufacturing Managment

Combustion chambers parts are among the most important component of a gas turbine. They are typically manufactured out of sheet metal through forming, rolling, punching and welding processes.
FIRST PHASE
First Manufacturing Process: Forming
Base components of the Cap&Liners are formed or cold rolled in order to obtain the desired shape.
Mainly Material used are: Sheet Metal of Hastelloy X - Nimonic 263 - Inconel 750 - FSX 414
SECOND PHASE
Second Manufacturing Process: Punching - Bending
Ancillaries are welded on the main bodies and holes are performed with laser and with punching process. .
THIRD PHASE
Third Manufacturing Process: Heat treatment and Coating
Parts are heat treated in order to obtain the mechanical characteristics required. Coating is applied on the internal surfaces in order to increase the resistance to the heat and to corrosion. Wear coating is applied on assembling external surfaces.
FOURTH PHASE
Last Manufacturing Process: Final Assembly
The Cap is assembled to the liner and final tests and inspection are carried out.
FIFTH PHASE
INSPECTION AND DOCUMENTS RELEASE
All the parts produced are checked and inspected. All the test reports are analysed and approved.
Complete Manufacturing Test Reports related to Manufacturing and Coating and traceability records are given to the customer if required.
